“Carlos and Carlos Duet” is an acoustic guitar duo that blends Afro-Caribbean, Brazilian, Jazz, Peruvian, and Flamenco traditions in its music. It was founded in 2007. One of its goals as an ensemble is to promote and explore the different expressions of music developed out of the mixture of cultures and ethnicities within Latin America, North America, and the Caribbean. “Carlos and Carlos Duet” also pursues a unique and spiritual expression through crafted improvisations and on-the-spot compositions. It has performed at the Florida Governor’s mansion, Florida State University, and the Museum of Florida History. The guitar duo has also performed professionally and as part of bigger ensembles throughout South Florida and Tallahassee.

“Carlos and Carlos Duet” has taught guitar and world music styles at Cavatina Studios (Tallahassee) since 2008. In this renewed institution, the duo developed a program to train students on improvisation, guitar techniques, theory, and music appreciation.
