Colleen McCarron
Every
artist has something to say. A story they want to paint. Colleen
McCarron is an artist who paints her stories of life, love, and all
else in between through the melodies, chords, and lyrics of her
songs. Ever since her arrival in 2003 to the Nashville music scene,
this 24-year-old folk/jazz/quirky pop artist gave the city a reason
to take off their cowboy hats. With fresh, piano-based musical
timbres reminiscent of Norah Jones, folksy guitar and poetic melodies
influenced by Joni Mitchell and James Taylor, and with the
personality to turn loud, smoky venues into living rooms, Colleen
takes the stage and invites her audience to listen as friends, not
merely fans.
Colleen
recently moved to the Washington, D.C. metro area to promote and tour
the Northeast with her new, full band EP, “Love is in the Details”
which she recorded and co-produced with Grammy Award Winner, Mitch
Dane. “Love is in the Details” is a family friendly, enjoyable
listen for every type of person with songs that will have you dancing
and leave you saying “Perfect” three times the rest of your life.
Colleen
speaks of her music, "The only time I am comfortable being
vulnerable is when I write my songs. With every chord and lyric, I
share the parts of my heart that, without music, I am too scared to
speak."
