Rhythm Abuse
Rhythm Abuse began in 1990 when bassist Peter Jilec and guitarist Bill Gay met while working together as UPS drivers.
Bill started playing in the San Francisco area as a teenager and moved to Florida in 1973. Bill also performs with The Freewheelin' Band and with wife Karen in the "Bill & Karen" acoustic duo, as well as The Honeybone Band with Jason and Rick.
Bill's son Eddie sits in on guitar when he can. Eddie (formerly with "King Cotton") has shared stages with Styx, Survivor, The Outfeild, 38 Special, B.B. King, Buddy Guy, Edgar Winter, Tab Benoit, and many others. We hope you enjoy their own brand of blues, rock, and R&B.
Jason
Honeybone
Jason
has been playing the Bass since he was 14. Jason's musical experience
isn't limited to just the Bass, he also plays a mean Acoustic Guitar…
and singing Lead Vocals is something he's really good at. Jason's
style of singing comes from some of the classic influences....George
Strait, Merle Haggard and Brad Paisley to Stewart Hamm and Paul
McCartney and many more.
He has played in many bands and many
states, from Missouri to Florida. But since he moved to Tallahassee in
1996 he's honed his artistic skills with several of the local's best
bands and musicians.
Rick
Brunetti
Rick
was born in Washington DC where he played in local bands until 1973
when he headed west to LA. Rick (he went by Nicky at the time) joined
"Bo Donaldson & The Heywoods, which sold 3,500,000 copies
for the song "Billy Don't Be A Hero". Rick is the kind of
Drummer other band's wish they had. Rhythm has a name and it is
"RICK".
Rick has played Drums with some very well known
acts from the 70's to the New Millennium.
